Reader 1 (Saturday Evening Portion)

counted, according to the commandment of Moshe, for the service of the Levi’im, by the
hand of Itamar, son to Aharon the priest.
Exo 38:22 And Betzal’el the son of Uri, the son of Chur, of the tribe of Yahudah, made all
that YHWH commanded Moshe.
Exo 38:23 And with him was Oholi’av, son of Achisamakh, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver,
and a cunning workman, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine
linen.

(Sunday Morning Portion)

Exo 38:24 All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even
the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels,
after the shekel of the sanctuary.
Exo 38:25 And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was a hundred
talents, and a thousand seven hundred and sixty and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the
sanctuary:
Exo 38:26 A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for
everyone that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred
thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.
Exo 38:27 And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and
the sockets of the vail; a hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket.
Exo 38:28 And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for
the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them.
Exo 38:29 And the copper of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four
hundred shekels.
Exo 38:30 And therewith he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation, and the copper altar, and the copper grate for it, and all the vessels of the
altar,
Exo 38:31 And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and
all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.
Exo 39:1 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made clothes of service, to do service
in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aharon; as YHWH commanded Moshe.

Reader 2 (Sunday Evening Portion)

Exo 39:2 And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined
linen.
Exo 39:3 And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the
blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work.
Exo 39:4 They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it
coupled together.
Exo 39:5 And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to
the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as YHWH
commanded Moshe.
Exo 39:6 And they wrought shoham stones inclosed in settings of gold, graven, as signets
are graven, with the names of the children of Yisra’el.
Exo 39:7 And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a
memorial to the children of Yisra’el; as YHWH commanded Moshe.
Exo 39:8 And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold,
blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
Exo 39:9 It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof,
and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.

(Monday Morning Portion)

Exo 39:10 And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a odem, a pitdah, and a
baraket: this was the first row.

in settings of gold in their inclosings.

according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according
to the twelve tribes.
Exo 39:15 And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure
gold.
Exo 39:16 And they made two settingss of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in
the two ends of the breastplate.
Exo 39:17 And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the

upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward.
Exo 39:20 And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the
ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above
the curious girdle of the ephod.
Exo 39:21 And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a
lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate
might not be loosed from the ephod; as YHWH commanded Moshe.

Reader 3 (Monday Evening Portion)

Exo 39:22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
Exo 39:23 And there was a hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of a habergeon, with a
band round about the hole, that it should not rend.
Exo 39:24 And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and
scarlet, and twined linen.
Exo 39:25 And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates
upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;
Exo 39:26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the
robe to minister in; as YHWH commanded Moshe.

Exo 40:14 And you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

Exo 40:38 For the cloud of YHWH was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by
night, in the sight of all the house of Yisra’el, throughout all their journeys.

Haftarah (Shabbat Evening Portion)

1Ki 7:51 So was ended all the work that king Shlomo made for the house of YHWH. And
Shlomo brought in the things which Dawid his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the
gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of YHWH.
1Ki 8:1 Then Shlomo assembled the elders of Yisra’el, and all the heads of the tribes, the
chief of the fathers of the children of Yisra’el, unto king Shlomo in Yahrushalayim, that they
might bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH out of the city of Dawid, which is Tziyon.
1Ki 8:2 And all the men of Yisra’el assembled themselves unto king Shlomo at the feast in
the month Etanim, which is the seventh month.
1Ki 8:3 And all the elders of Yisra’el came, and the priests took up the ark.
1Ki 8:4 And they brought up the ark of YHWH, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and
all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levi’im
bring up.
1Ki 8:5 And king Shlomo, and all the congregation of Yisra’el, that were assembled unto
him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor
numbered for multitude.
1Ki 8:6 And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YHWH unto His place, into the
oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the keruvim.
1Ki 8:7 For the keruvim spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the
keruvim covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
1Ki 8:8 And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy
place before the oracle, and they were not seen outside: and there they are unto this day.
1Ki 8:9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moshe put there at
Chorev, when YHWH made a covenant with the children of Yisra’el, when they came out of
the land of Mitzrayim.
1Ki 8:10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the
cloud filled the house of YHWH,
1Ki 8:11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of
YHWH had filled the house of YHWH.
1Ki 8:12 Then spoke Shlomo, YHWH said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.
1Ki 8:13 I have surely built you a house to dwell in, a settled place for you to abide in forever.
1Ki 8:14 And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Yisra’el:
(and all the congregation of Yisra’el stood;)
1Ki 8:15 And he said, Blessed be YHWH Elohim of Yisra’el, which spoke with His mouth
unto Dawid my father, and has with His hand fulfilled it, saying,
1Ki 8:16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Yisra’el out of Mitzrayim, I chose no
city out of all the tribes of Yisra’el to build a house, that my name might be therein; but I
chose Dawid to be over my people Yisra’el.
1Ki 8:17 And it was in the heart of Dawid my father to build a house for the name of YHWH
Elohim of Yisra’el.
1Ki 8:18 And YHWH said unto Dawid my father, Whereas it was in your heart to build a
house unto my name, you did well that it was in your heart.
1Ki 8:19 Nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son that shall come forth out of
your loins, he shall build the house unto my name.
1Ki 8:20 And YHWH has performed His word that He spoke, and I am risen up in the room
of Dawid my father, and sit on the throne of Yisra’el, as YHWH promised, and have built a
house for the name of YHWH Elohim of Yisra’el.
1Ki 8:21 And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of YHWH, which
He made with our fathers, when He brought them out of the land of Mitzrayim.
