Lev 23:26 And YHWH spoke unto Moshe, saying,
Lev 23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

Reader 2 (The Astonishment)
Jer 2:1 Moreover the word of YHWH came to me, saying,
Jer 2:2 Go and cry in the ears of Yahrushalayim, saying, Thus saith YHWH; I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your espousals, when you went after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.
Jer 2:3 Yisra’el was holiness unto YHWH, and the firstfruits of His increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith YHWH.
Jer 2:4 Hear you the word of YHWH, O house of Ya’kov, and all the families of the house of Yisra’el:
Jer 2:5 Thus saith YHWH, What lawlessness have your fathers found in Me, that they are gone far from Me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?
Jer 2:6 Neither said they, Where is YHWH that brought us up out of the land of Mitzrayim, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?
Jer 2:7 And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when you entered, you defiled My land, and made My heritage an abomination.
Jer 2:8 The priests said not, Where is YHWH? and they that handle the law knew Me not: the pastors also transgressed against Me, and the prophets prophesied by Ba’al, and walked after things that do not profit.
Jer 2:9 Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith YHWH, and with your children’s children will I plead.
Jer 2:10 For pass over the isles of Citti, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
Jer 2:11 Has a nation changed their elohim, which are yet not elohim? but my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.
Jer 2:12 Be astonished, O you heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be you very desolate, saith YHWH.
Jer 2:13 For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
Jer 2:14 Is Yisra’el a servant? is he home born slave? why is he spoiled?
Jer 2:15 The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.
Jer 2:16 Also the children of Nofe and Tach’panches have broken the crown of your head.
Jer 2:17 Have you not procured this unto yourself, in that you have forsaken YHWH your Elohim, when He led you by the way?
Jer 2:18 And now what have you to do in the way of Mitzrayim, to drink the waters of Shichor? or what have you to do in the way of Ashur, to drink the waters of the river?
Jer 2:19 Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you hast forsaken YHWH your Elohim, and that My fear is not in you, saith Adonai YHWH Tseb’ah’ah.
Jer 2:20 For of old time I have broken your yoke, and burst your bands; and you said, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree you wandered, playing the harlot.
Jer 2:21 Yet I had planted you a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then are you turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto Me?
Jer 2:22 For though you wash you with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet your lawlessness is marked before Me, saith Adonai YHWH.
Jer 2:23 How can you say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Ba’alim? see your way in the valley, know what you have done: you art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
Jer 2:24 A wild donkey used to the wilderness, that snuffs up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.
Jer 2:25 Withhold your foot from being unshod, and your throat from thirst: but you said, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.
Jer 2:26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Yisra’el ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,
Jer 2:27 Saying to a stock, You are my father; and to a stone, You have brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
Jer 2:28 But where are your elohim that you have made you? let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your trouble: for according to the number of your cities are your elohim, O Yahudah.
Jer 2:29 Wherefore will you plead with me? you all have transgressed against me, saith YHWH.
Jer 2:30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.
Jer 2:31 O generation, see you the word of YHWH. Have I been a wilderness unto Yisra’el? a land of darkness? wherefore say My people, We are lords; we will come no more unto you?
Jer 2:32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.
Jer 2:33 Why make well you your way to seek love? therefore have you also taught the wicked ones your ways.
Jer 2:34 Also in your skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.
Jer 2:35 Yet you say, Because I am innocent, surely His anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with you, because you say, I have not sinned.
Jer 2:36 [Why go you about so much to return your way?] thou also shall be ashamed of Mitzrayim, as you ware ashamed of Ashur.
Jer 2:37 Yea, you shall go forth from him, and your hands upon your head: for YHWH has rejected your confidences, and you shall not prosper in them.
Reader 2 (Curses, Nakedness, and Repentance)
Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if you will not hearken unto the voice of YHWH your Elohim, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:
Deu 28:16 Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.
Deu 28:17 Cursed shall be your basket and your store.
Deu 28:18 Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep.
Deu 28:19 Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
Deu 28:20 YHWH shall send upon you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set your hand unto for to do, until you be destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the wickedness of your doings, whereby you have forsaken me.
Deu 28:21 YHWH shall make the pestilence cleave unto you, until He has consumed you from off the land, where you go to possess it.
Deu 28:22 YHWH shall smite you with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.
Deu 28:23 And your heaven that is over your head shall be copper, and the earth that is under you shall be iron.
Deu 28:24 YHWH shall make the rain of your land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon you, until you be destroyed.
Deu 28:25 YHWH shall cause you to be smitten before your enemies: you shall go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shall be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
Deu 28:26 And your carcase shall be food unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
Deu 28:27 YHWH will smite you with the botch of Mitzrayim, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof you can not be healed.
Deu 28:28 YHWH shall smite you with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
Deu 28:29 And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save you.
Deu 28:30 You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: you shall build a house, and you shall not dwell therein: you shall plant a vineyard, and shall not gather the grapes thereof.
Deu 28:31 Your ox shall be slain before your eyes, and you shall not eat thereof: Your donkey shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given unto your enemies, and you shall have none to rescue them.
Deu 28:32 Your sons and your daughters shall be given unto another people, and your eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in your hand.
Deu 28:33 The fruit of your land, and all your labors, shall a nation which you know not eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always:
Deu 28:34 So that you shall be mad for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
Deu 28:35 YHWH shall smite you in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot unto the top of your head.
Deu 28:36 YHWH shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, unto a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known; and there shall you serve other elohim, wood and stone.
Deu 28:37 And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations where YHWH shall lead you.
Deu 28:38 You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
Deu 28:39 You shall plant vineyards, and dress them, but shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
Deu 28:40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your coasts, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for your olive shall cast his fruit.
Deu 28:41 You shall beget sons and daughters, but you shall not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
Deu 28:42 All your trees and fruit of your land shall the locust consume.
Deu 28:43 The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low.
Deu 28:44 He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
Deu 28:45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you hearkened not unto the voice of YHWH your Elohim, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you:
Deu 28:46 And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and upon your seed forever.
Deu 28:47 Because you served not YHWH your Elohim with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
Deu 28:48 Therefore shall you serve your enemies which YHWH shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until He has destroyed you.
Deu 28:49 YHWH shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand;
Deu 28:50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young:
Deu 28:51 And he shall eat the fruit of your beasts, and the fruit of your land, until you be destroyed: which also shall not leave you either grain, wine, or oil, or the increase of your cattle, or flocks of your sheep, until he has destroyed you.
Deu 28:52 And he shall besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fenced walls come down, wherein you trusted, throughout all your land: and he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which YHWH your Elohim has given you.
Deu 28:53 And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which YHWH your Elohim has given you, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith your enemies shall distress you:
Deu 28:54 So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
Deu 28:55 So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he has nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith your enemies shall distress you in all your gates.
Deu 28:56 The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
Deu 28:57 And toward her young one that comes out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith your enemy shall distress you in your gates.
Deu 28:58 If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, YHWH your Elohim;
Deu 28:59 Then YHWH will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
Deu 28:60 Moreover He will bring upon you all the diseases of Mitzrayim, which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave unto you.
Deu 28:61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will YHWH bring upon you, until you be destroyed.
Deu 28:62 And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because you would not obey the voice of YHWH your Elohim.
Deu 28:63 And it shall come to pass, that as YHWH rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so YHWH will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.
Deu 28:64 And YHWH shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there you shall serve other elohim, which neither you nor your fathers have known, wood and stone.
Deu 28:65 And among these nations shall you find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest: but YHWH shall give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
Deu 28:66 And your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear day and night, and shall have no assurance of your life:
Deu 28:67 In the morning you shall say, Would Elohim it were even! and at even you shall say, Would Elohim it were morning! for the fear of your heart wherewith you shall fear, and for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.
Deu 28:68 And YHWH shall bring you into Mitzrayim again with ships, by the way whereof I spoke unto you, You shall see it no more again: and there you shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
Joh 9:39 And Yahushua said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Joh 9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
Joh 9:41 Yahushua said unto them, If you were blind, you should have no sin: but now you say, We see; therefore your sin remains.
Mat 13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Jer 30:12 For thus saith YHWH, Your bruise is incurable, and your wound is grievous.
Jer 30:13 There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.
Jer 30:14 All your lovers have forgotten you; they seek you not; for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of your lawlessness; because your sins were increased.
Jer 30:15 Why cry you for your affliction? your sorrow is incurable for the multitude of your lawlessness: because your sins were increased, I have done these things unto you.
Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Jon 1:1 Now the word of YHWH came unto Yonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Jon 1:2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
Jon 1:3 But Yonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of YHWH, and went down to Yafo; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of YHWH.
Jon 1:4 But YHWH sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
Jon 1:5 Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Yonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.
Jon 1:6 So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What mean you, O sleeper? arise, call upon your Elohim, if so be that Elohim will think upon us, that we perish not.
Jon 1:7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Yonah.
Jon 1:8 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is your occupation? and where come you? what is your country? and of what people art you?
Jon 1:9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear YHWH, the Elohim of heaven, which has made the sea and the dry land.
Jon 1:10 Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why have you done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of YHWH, because he had told them.
Jon 1:11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto you, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.
Jon 1:12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
Jon 1:13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.
Jon 1:14 Wherefore they cried unto YHWH, and said, We beseech thee, O YHWH, we beseech you, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for you, O YHWH, hast done as it pleased you.
Jon 1:15 So they took up Yonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
Jon 1:16 Then the men feared YHWH exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto YHWH, and made vows.
Jon 1:17 Now YHWH had prepared a great fish to swallow up Yonah. And Yonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Jon 2:1 Then Yonah prayed unto YHWH his Elohim out of the fish’s belly,
Jon 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto YHWH, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and you heard my voice.
Jon 2:3 For you have cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all your billows and your waves passed over me.
Jon 2:4 Then I said, I am cast out of your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.
Jon 2:5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
Jon 2:6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet have you brought up my life from corruption, O YHWH my Elohim.
Jon 2:7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered YHWH: and my prayer came in unto you, into your holy temple.
Jon 2:8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
Jon 2:9 But I will sacrifice unto you with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of YHWH.
Jon 2:10 And YHWH spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Yonah upon the dry land.
Jon 3:1 And the word of YHWH came unto Yonah the second time, saying,
Jon 3:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
Jon 3:3 So Yonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of YHWH. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.
Jon 3:4 And Yonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
Jon 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed Elohim, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
Jon 3:6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
Jon 3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
Jon 3:8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto Elohim: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
Jon 3:9 Who can tell if Elohim will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
Jon 3:10 And Elohim saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and Elohim repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
Jon 4:1 But it displeased Yonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.
Jon 4:2 And he prayed unto YHWH, and said, I pray thee, O YHWH, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious Elohim, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest you of the evil.
Jon 4:3 Therefore now, O YHWH, take, I beseech you, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.
Jon 4:4 Then said YHWH, Do you well to be angry?
Jon 4:5 So Yonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city.
Jon 4:6 And YHWH Elohim prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Yonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Yonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
Jon 4:7 But Elohim prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.
Jon 4:8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that Elohim prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Yonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
Jon 4:9 And Elohim said to Yonah, Do you well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.
Jon 4:10 Then said YHWH, You have had pity on the gourd, for the which you have not labored, neither made it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:
Jon 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
Brit Hadashah (New Testament)
Luk 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luk 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, Elohim, I thank you, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, Elohim be merciful to me a sinner.
Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.
