Num 5:13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be
kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with
the manner;
Num 5:14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous * of his wife, and she be
defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous * of his wife, and she be
not defiled:
Num 5:15 Then shall the man bring * his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring * her offering
for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put

Num 5:16 And the priest shall bring her near, * and set her before YHWH:
Num 5:17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the
floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:
Num 5:18 And the priest shall set * the woman before YHWH, and uncover * the woman’s
head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the
priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causes the curse:

lain with you, and if you have not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of your
husband, be you free from this bitter water that causes the curse:
Num 5:20 But if you have gone aside to another instead of your husband, and if you be defiled,
and some man has lain * with you beside your husband:
Num 5:21 Then the priest shall charge * the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall
say unto the woman, YHWH make you a curse and an oath among your people, when
YHWH does make * your thigh to rot, and your belly to swell;

Num 5:25 Then the priest shall take * the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall
wave * the offering before YHWH, and offer it upon the altar:
Num 5:26 And the priest shall take a handful of the offering, * the memorial thereof, and burn
it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause * the woman to drink * the water.
Num 5:27 And when he has made her to drink * the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if
she be defiled, and has done trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the
curse shall enter into her, bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the
woman shall be a curse among her people.
Num 5:28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall
conceive seed.
Num 5:29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goes aside to another instead of her

Num 6:9 And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he has defiled the head of his
consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day

to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also * his minkha, and his drink offering.
Num 6:18 And the Natzari shall shave * the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle
of the congregation, and shall take * the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the
fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offerings.
Num 6:19 And the priest shall take * the sodden shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake
out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them upon the hands of the
Natzari, after * the hair of his separation is shaven:
Num 6:20 And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before YHWH: this is holy for the
priest, with the wave breast and heave shoulder: and after that the Natzari may drink wine.
Num 6:21 This is the law of the Natzari who has vowed, and of his offering unto YHWH for his
separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he
must do after the law of his separation.

–  Moshe going into to the tabernacle and speaks with YHWH

Num 7:89 And when Moshe was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with
Him, then he heard * the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was
upon the ark of testimony, from between the two keruvim: and He spoke unto him.

Haftarah (Shabbat Evening Portion)

– The promise of Shimson

Jdg 13:2 And there was a certain man of Tzor’ah, of the family of the Dani, whose name was
Manoach; and his wife was barren, and bore not.
Jdg 13:3 And the angel of YHWH appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now,
you are barren, and bear not: but you shall conceive, and bear a son.
Jdg 13:4 Now therefore beware, I pray you, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not
any unclean thing:
Jdg 13:5 For, lo, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the
child shall be a Natzari unto Elohim from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver * Yisra’el
out of the hand of the Pelishtim.
Jdg 13:6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of Elohim came unto me,
and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of Elohim, very terrible: but I
asked him not where he was, neither told he me his name:
Jdg 13:7 But he said unto me, Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no
wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Natzari to
Elohim from the womb to the day of his death.
Jdg 13:8 Then Manoach intreated YHWH, and said, O my Adonai, let the man of Elohim which
you did send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be
born.
Jdg 13:9 And Elohim hearkened to the voice of Manoach; and the angel of Elohim came again
unto the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoach her husband was not with her.
Jdg 13:10 And the woman made haste, and ran, and showed her husband, and said unto him,
Behold, the man has appeared unto me, that came unto me the other day.
Jdg 13:11 And Manoach arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said unto him,
Are you the man that spoke unto the woman? And he said, I am.
Jdg 13:12 And Manoach said, Now let your words come to pass. How shall we order the child,
and how shall we do unto him?
Jdg 13:13 And the angel of YHWH said unto Manoach, Of all that I said unto the woman let her
beware.
Jdg 13:14 She may not eat of any thing that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or
strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: all that I commanded her let her observe.
Jdg 13:15 And Manoach said unto the angel of YHWH, I pray you, let us detain you, until we
shall have made ready a kid for you.
Jdg 13:16 And the angel of YHWH said unto Manoach, Though you detain me, I will not eat of
your bread: and if you will offer a burnt offering, you must offer it unto YHWH. For
Manoach knew not that he was an angel of YHWH.
Jdg 13:17 And Manoach said unto the angel of YHWH, What is your name, that when your
sayings come to pass we may do you honor?
Jdg 13:18 And the angel of YHWH said unto him, Why ask you thus after my name, seeing it is
secret?
Jdg 13:19 So Manoach took * a kid with a minkha, and offered it upon a rock unto YHWH: and
the angel did wondrously; and Manoach and his wife looked on.
Jdg 13:20 For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that
the angel of YHWH ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoach and his wife looked on
it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
Jdg 13:21 But the angel of YHWH did no more appear to Manoach and to his wife. Then
Manoach knew that he was an angel of YHWH.
Jdg 13:22 And Manoach said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen Elohim.
Jdg 13:23 But his wife said unto him, If YHWH were pleased to kill us, He would not have
received a burnt offering and a minkha at our hands, neither would He have showed us * all
these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
Jdg 13:24 And the woman bore a son, and called * his name Shimshon: and the child grew, and
YHWH blessed him.
Jdg 13:25 And the Spirit of YHWH began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between
Tzor’ah and Eshta’ol.
